Criterion provides CNC Tube Punching and Tube Notching Machines that permit the end user to automatically punch and notch distortion free hole patterns in long pieces of tubing. Due to the material and dimensional variations in commercial grade welded steel tubing and aluminum extrusions, it is very difficult to punch and notch a distortion free hole using an ID mandrel if the hole is located 18 inches or more from the tube end. Distortion free holes that are located this distance from the tube end are not normally created by traditional punch, notch and die techniques. Most often they are drilled and deburred, or laser cut.
Using proprietary punch, notch and die tooling techniques, Criterion has developed CNC Tube Punching Machines and Tube Notching Machines that can be programmed to punch and notch distortion free hole patterns in rounds and various shapes of tubing and extrusions.
